Beautiful poster - almost a shame to see the character painted, it's such a great puppet - good luck at the festival!

Originally, I had wanted to paint a poster for the film. I began my career as a painter and I had always marveled at the movie posters by Hildebrandt and Amsel to name just two. So naturally, my instincts told me to exactly that. But when I asked for the opinions of other stopmo fans, the majority opinion was that this film needed to advertised by the puppets themselves in the image and I took those opinions seriously and did agree with them. (despite my desire to do the painting)

Ultimately I split the difference, the image you see in the poster IS a photo. I applied a paint filter to it in Photoshop to retain the photographic look with a watercolor edge on it, just to give it some class.

It's not a shot from the film, I posed the Isomer puppet in a way that I thought would best symbolize the feeling of the film as a whole.

Good deal dood!

I agree with your choice for the poster too.I was thinking of doing a 2d DVD cover for my film but realized it would misguide people from what the film is delivering.

so excited for you man! Huge deal to get on the big screen!

rHello! My name is Veronica and I'm argentina. Study cinema in Buenos Aires and to approve a matter of the faculty I must do stop motion. I saw your works and your tutorial of how to make a mold for puppets of latex and seemed to me brilliant.
I must make a horse, and have some doubts on the mold. If you were so amiable I give my email you so that you contact with me, to have if you prune to help me.
Thank you very much. As sides my English is quite bad.
Sorry... :(
